In the latest update from Tamilnadu Weatherman, it has been reported that the sea breeze has come to the rescue of Nunga, keeping the temperature at a more bearable level. The temperature in Nunga, which was nearing 41 degrees Celsius, has now dropped to 37 degrees Celsius. However, the western areas of Tamil Nadu continue to experience scorching heat.
Areas such as Anna Nagar are currently recording temperatures close to 41 degrees Celsius. The sea breeze, though beneficial, is taking time to reach the inland regions and western suburbs of Tamil Nadu.
Several locations in Tamil Nadu are experiencing high temperatures. Potheri (Katupakkam) is currently at 41 degrees Celsius, while Vanagaram is recording 40.7 degrees Celsius. Villivakkam and Anna Nagar West are not far behind, with temperatures of 40.5 degrees Celsius. Tambaram is also sweltering at 40.4 degrees Celsius. Meena is currently at 40 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman has also advised people to take precautions against heatstroke, such as drinking plenty of fluids, wearing light clothing, and avoiding strenuous activity.
