Tamil Nadu Technology Centre at Anna University: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Inaugurates!

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin inaugurated the Tamil Nadu Technology Centre (iTNT Hub) located at the Anna University Complex on behalf of the Department of Technology and Digital Services in a video conference mode at the Chief Secretariat.

In a notification released by the State Government of Tamil Nadu regarding this, it is mentioned:

"The Tamil Nadu Government is fully aware of the importance of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Blockchain, etc.! To promote this, the iTNT Hub has been established in Chennai. This will help address the various significant issues faced by major industries and also implement the latest technological advancements."

Accordingly, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister inaugurated the iTNT (Tamil Nadu Technology) Hub, which was set up in the Anna University Complex for Rs. 54.61 Crores through a video conference from the Tamil Nadu Chief Secretariat.

This hub will function as an activity centre, encouraging innovation in technology and supporting their implementation, thereby placing Tamil Nadu among the top 10 leading technology hubs. It will promote the rapidly growing field of `Deeptech` and participate in collaborative research on high technology design and implementation.

This is the first-ever High Technology Hub to be established in India! The hub will work in collaboration with academic institutions, startup industries, large industries, and government organizations. Initially, the iTNT hub has partnered with 19 startup industries, with guidelines provided.

The Central Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has contributed 50% of the financial assistance, while the State Government of Tamil Nadu has contributed 37%, and the remaining 13% has been obtained from industries.

It has been set up as a `non-profit` organization under the Tamil Nadu State Government`s Department of Digital Services."
