Good news for weavers

Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has decided to construct houses for the weaving community that would accommodate their equipment and enable them to work from home. 10,000 green houses would be constructed in the first phase under Chief Minister`s Green House Scheme, for the weaving community. It was informed that weavers prefer to work from their respective homes and the earlier plan of constructing houses measuring 300 square foot will not be enough to keep their equipment.
Therefore, it was decided to construct houses measuring 365 square foot. Government would incur an additional cost of Rs 50,000 for the construction of the extra 65 square foot and for this purpose, Rs 50 crore more will be allotted.
