Darshan of Lord Venkateswara at Tirupati: Devotees wait for 24 hours!

On Thursday, May 25th (yesterday), devotees at Tirupati had to wait for 24 hours to have Darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the Tirupati Temple.

With summer vacation in progress, the number of visitors to Tirupati for Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara has considerably increased. Therefore, on Thursday morning, May 25th, devotees had to wait in the 29 Waiting Halls. They were allowed for Darshan after a 24-hour wait.

For Dharma Darshan with tokens, devotees had to wait for 24 hours, while devotees with Rs. 300/- tickets for Quicker Darshan had to wait for 3 hours.

A total of 74,885 devotees had Darshan.

On Wednesday, May 23rd, a total of 74,995 devotees had Darshan of Lord Sri Venkateswara throughout the day. Out of these, 38,663 devotees offered their hair and had head tonsures.

Hundi Collection: Rs. 3.60 Crores

The Thirumalai Tirupati Devasthanam Board (TTD) announced that the Hundi collections offered by the devotees amounted to Rs. 3.60 Crores.
