The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects for rain for four days starting today (Tuesday, 13th June) in one or two places in Tamil Nadu. The temperature may reach 105 degrees.
In a notification released by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, Pa. Senthamaraikkannan, it is mentioned:
"The southwest monsoon rainy season has spread all over Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Due to the westerly winds and the phenomenon of thermal convection, there are prospects for mild rain with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu State and Puducherry today (Tuesday, 13th June) and for three days on 14th, 15th & 16th June.
The maximum temperature in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry today (Tuesday, 13th June) will be 102-105 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature may be higher by 7 degrees Fahrenheit in one or two places.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs may remain somewhat cloudy in the next 48 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder in one or two places in the city. The maximum temperature will be 105 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature will be 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
