Registration works in TN affected due to server problems at the Santhome office in Chennai!!

Till 3pm yesterday, 20th June 2023, the deed registration server was down and due to this issue the registration work was affected across many registrar offices in TN. In all the registration offices in TN, star 2.0 software is being used now for deed registration works.
It must be noted that though the deeds are registered at all the offices of the registrar the main server is present only at the office of the head of the registrar in Santhome in Chennai. Yesterday,at the office of the heads of the registration dept at Santhome, the main server was down due to an electrical issue.
As a result of this, the registration works have been affected in more than 575 registrar offices in TN. As the server issue was fixed after 3pm, the registration works started at various registrar offices across the state. It is important to mention that 50% of tokens received at some places were deeded yesterday.
It was later mentioned by some registrars that the deed registration works were affected due to server issues only. They concluded that as there were few people only it was not a major problem.
