Prospects for rain with lightning and thunder today (23rd June) in Tamil Nadu!

The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for rain with lightning and thunder in one or two places in Tamil Nadu today (Friday, 23rd June).
In a notification released in this regard by the Director of the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, Mr. Pa Senthamaraikkannan, it is mentioned:
"The phenomenon of the easterly and westerly winds meeting each other is prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the South India Region. Due to this, there are prospects for mild to medium rain with lightning and thunder today (Friday, 23rd June) in one or two places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There are prospects for mild to medium rain in one or two places on June 24th, 25th, and 26th.
Chennai Metro City and its suburbs will remain somewhat cloudy for the next two days. There are prospects for rain with lightning and thunder in one or two places in the city. The temperature will be in the range of 80-99 degrees Fahrenheit.
The maximum rainfall recorded in centimeters as of 8.30 AM yesterday (Thursday, 22nd June): Nilgiri District Ooty – 7 cm, Lower Kothagiri Estate – 5 cm, Getty, Pandhalur, Koda Nadu, and Coimbatore District Chinnakkallaru – 4 cm."
