Women must know about these early signs of ovarian cysts that can lead to cancer!!

In some women, a fluid filled sac develops on their ovaries and this is ovarian cyst. In the normal circumstances, ovarian cysts are small and harmless and they dissolve on their own. These cysts do not show any symptoms also.

Truth is that sometimes these ovarian cysts would burst, cause pain and would bleed etc resulting in the medical emergency.  When these ovarian cysts appear during the reproductive years of a woman then it would be harmless but when they appear during menopause then  they could become cancerous over time. It has been brought to light by WHO that there are now 11.9cases of ovarian cancer per 100,000 females in India. Three types of ovarian cysts are ovulatory cysts, benign cysts and malignant cysts.

There are many issues that cysts would cause in women and these are vomiting, nausea, severe pelvic pain etc.

There are few early signs of ovarian cysts and women must be careful regarding this. Various early signs are

Constant pain in pelvic area:

It must be noted that if a woman experiences constant pain in her pelvic area then she might have ovarian cysts. Pain in the pelvic portion is a common symptom associated with ovarian cysts.

Bloating:

Around the menstrual cycle, a woman could have a sense of being full,  abdominal pain etc and this could be due to the presence of cysts in her.

Irregular periods:

The presence of ovarian cysts would disrupt the hormonal balance in women. By this, there would be some changes in her menstrual cycle. The presence of ovarian cysts could lead to missed periods, irregular periods etc.

Painful intercourse:

One of the early signs of ovarian cysts is the painful intercourse or sexual relationship. There would be huge pressure on the uterus or on the pelvic portion of a woman due to the growth of cysts. This would lead to painful intercourse etc.

Urinary problems:

The urinary bladder would be at huge pressure due to the growth of ovarian cysts and this could lead to urinary problems like increased urination, a feeling of urgency all the time and issues in emptying the urinary bladder fully etc.
