Whats happening now regarding the storm water drain works in Chennai?

There are many storm water drain project works going in Chennai now and on Sunday secretary of municipal administration and water supply dept Mr. Shiv Das Meena inspected these.
The WRD is constructing SWD in Mugalivakkam in south Chennai now and this was first inspected by Mr. Shiv Das Meena yesterday.In Porur, the Highways dept is constructing SWD and he inspected this site also. It must be noted that Mr. Shiv Das Meena gave instructions to the officers to expedite work and to make sure that the public were not disturbed by the works.
To inspect the drain works, the secretary later made his presence felt in Perungudi zones M. Madipakkam, Karthikeyapuram and Srinivasa Nagar. He hinted that the SWD works in tehs places would be completed before the onset of monsoons.
Finally, the secretary inspected the SWD works at north Chennai based Thiru Vi Ka Nagar ( Jambulingam Salai, GKM Colony, Karthikeyan Salai) and asked the contractor to ensure safety protocols at work.
