Vande Bharath Express trains between Chennai and Thirunelveli soon?

Railway officials have informed us that Vande Bharath express trains would be operated between Chennai Metro City and Thirunelveli shortly.
In this regard, the railway officials shared:
"A demand has been received that Vande Bharath express train services MUST be introduced from Chennai Metro City to the Southern districts racks. In the 740 km track between Chennai Metro City and Kanyakumari, the double track (broad gauge) between Chennai and Thirunelveli is electrified.
As such, the track is ready for the operation of the Vande Bharath Express train. So, as soon as approval is obtained from the Department of Railways, Vande Bharath trains will soon be operated on this track.
There are no issues in operating the Vande Bharath train services with a seating facility. However, it will take some more time for introducing Vande Bharath train services with berths (for sleeping) arrangement!"
