Orders to TANGEDCO Officials: Electricity Bills not paid?? Remove the account!

TANGEDCO officials have been ordered to close the accounts of the electricity consumers who had not paid the Electricity Bills for more than 2 years` time!
The Department of Electricity of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has been undertaking the task of installation of smart electricity energy meters in homes of the power consumers. In this situation, an order has been issued to the concerned officers to close the accounts of the consumers who have not paid the electricity bills in due time. This delay in payment of electricity bills causes huge losses in the revenues of TANGEDCO.
In this situation, an order has been issued to permanently close the accounts of the power consumers who had not paid their electricity bills over the last 2 years.
Further, personal inspection MUST be made by visiting the homes where the power connections have been given in a month. This will enable to identify the consumers who got the power connections properly!
