The Department of the Public Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu has emphasized additional focus on preventive action as there is an increasing trend of complaints of throat pain and fever.
3211 citizens have been affected by dengue fever this year in the State of Tamil Nadu. 45 citizens have been affected by chikungunya. 141 are affected with malaria and several other citizens have been affected with virus fever.
In this situation, due to the change in climatic conditions, there is an increasing trend of complaints of colds, coughs and throat pain. As this complaint also has tiredness and pain, there has been an appeal to conduct a special medical camp and prevent the spread.
In this regard, the officials of the Department of Public Health of the State Government of Tamil Nadu shared:
"There are facilities to treat the above complaints right from the government hospitals to the Primary Health Centres in the state. There is an increase in such complaints due to climate change. Treatments are being given.
We have been closely monitoring this increasing trend and taking preventive actions. We have already emphasized the necessity to focus on mosquito removal to all the local administrations."
