Ponniamman Temple located in Thiruvenkatapuram in Ponneri near Chennai is now making sensational news.
Here, on the occasion of Aadi Pournami, hundreds of devotees paid their special respects by anointing the Goddess with milk or pal kudam.
It is noteworthy that on the occasion of Aadi Pournami yesterday 14th year annual milk pot festival was held. From Adi Ponniamman mandapam, temple service team, many men and women devotees, about more than 100 carried milk pots or paal kudam on their heads and offered Abishegam to the Goddess. Point is that later the Goddess was decorated with special decorations and deeparadhanai was performed. On the occasion of paal kudam, anadhanams were given at the temple.
