Special buses to operate - Chennaites getting ready for this long weekend!!

With a long weekend just round the corner, the state transport corporation has planned to operate as many as 1100 buses on 11th and 12th of August 2023. This would be to help the public going to their native places or hometowns etc.
The MD of SETC has issued an official release and according to that 18199 passengers have booked their seats from Chennai and from across Tamil Nadu to travel on 11th August. As many as 6949 passengers have booked their tickets on 12th of August and 4514 passengers on 13th of August 2023 to go to their native places. In addition to the normal buses, as many as 500 special buses would be operated from Chennai to other parts of TN on 11th of August and 200 buses on 12th of August.
The release mentioned that an additional 400 buses would be operated from Coimbatore, Madurai Salem, Tirunelveli etc to other places. On 15th of August, for the return journey, 12257 passengers booked their tickets. Point is that the passengers have been urged to make use of bus ticket reservation to plan their journey and help them to make arrangements for special buses when it is needed.
