Please be careful!! Sudden sharp increase in Madras Eye or conjunctivitis cases in Chennai!!

With the weather turning hot and cold and being unpredictable, the Madras Eye or conjunctivitis cases have increased in the last 3 weeks in Chennai. This has been confirmed by the eye doctors.
There are many now in the city with symptoms like redness, itching and watery discharge etc and they have been visiting the eye hospitals now. The OP wards in the eye hospitals now receive atleast 10 patents with these symptoms. Every day, each eye doctor treats at least 3 to 5 patients. This was according to a senior ophthalmologist Dr. S. Soundari, Agarwal Eye Hospitals.
It is now mentioned that this eye issue is common when there is a transition from summer to monsoon. The spread of this eye infection can be controlled by visiting an eye doctor early. This was pointed out by Dr.M. Chockalingam, Vignesh Meenu Eye Clinic.
