A special `Intestinal Worms Removal` camp is scheduled for today, August 17th, in Tamil Nadu. The goal is to distribute intestinal worm removal tablets to 2.69 Crore citizens.
During the months of February and August, the `Albendazole` tablet is distributed across the country to children under 19 years of age and women/girls under 30 years of age, as part of the `National Intestinal Worms Removal` initiative.
The Department of Health of the Tamil Nadu State Government has decided to distribute intestinal worm removal tablets to all citizens this year. Accordingly, a special camp is being organized today, August 17th, to distribute these tablets throughout Tamil Nadu.
The target is to distribute the intestinal worm removal tablets to a total of 2.69 Crore citizens, including children under 19 years of age and women in the age group 20-30.
Over 1.30 Lakh State Government Employees have been deployed for this task. Another special camp is planned to cater to citizens who may have been missed in today`s camp.
The Medical Department Staff emphasizes that failure to take these intestinal worm removal tablets could lead to various health issues in children, such as nutritional deficiencies, anemia, loss of appetite, stomach-related problems, and fatigue.
