Numerous cars and bikes have been abandoned for extended periods in various public locations across Chennai, causing significant disruptions to traffic. In response to this concern, Commissioner Radhakrishnan has released an official warning. The Chennai Corporation has been inundated with complaints about prolonged parking of vehicles, particularly cars, in specific areas. This practice is strongly discouraged.

It has been explicitly stated that the Corporation will take possession of vehicles found in violation of this directive. Furthermore, law enforcement will collaborate with the Corporation to initiate punitive measures. Additionally, stringent actions will be enforced against individuals involved in littering on the Koovam riverbanks.
