Very rare celestial event!! - Super Blue Moon witnessed in Chennai!!

We all would have heard the phrase once in a blue moon from others.
Yesterday, Chennai witnessed this rare occurrence. Normally it would take 29.5 days for the Moon to go around the Earth and full moon and new moon would be seen once in a month. Truth is that it is very rare for a full moon to appear twice in a month. It is learnt that when a second full moon appears in a month, then it is called the Blue Moon and this event would happen once in 2 or 3years.
SUPER BLUE MOON:
Yesterday, not only did a blue moon appear but the moon also came close to earth and hence it was called the Super Blue Moon. The sky was cloudy in Chennai and many residents were disappointed as they were not able to see the full moon completely in various places. Previously on 1st of August also the full moon was witnessed is well known to us. Information collected is that yesterday was the second full moon day in August and a blue moon event also took place.
Important note:
Previously, on 21st of October in the years 2018 and 2020, a blue moon event was witnessed.
