The Chennai Water Board has issued a crucial announcement regarding a temporary halt in drinking water supply for the next two days, commencing tomorrow. This interruption is necessitated by essential water connection maintenance work.
Water Supply Disruption
The Chennai Drinking Water Board has scheduled a suspension of drinking water supply for specific areas within Chennai, starting from 6 am tomorrow until 6 am on September 22. To clarify, this interruption will affect only the following areas: Annanagar, Ambattur, Kodambakkam, and Teynampet.. The reason for this disruption is the ongoing maintenance work on the main water pipeline beneath the Koyambedu Roundabout flyover.
Residents in these affected areas are strongly advised to store an adequate supply of water today as a precautionary measure. Additional water requirements can be met through drinking water trucks, which will be deployed for this purpose. Furthermore, it should be noted that not only will water from the Drinking Water Board be distributed, but water trucks will continue their regular routes to provide water to the streets.
