Every year, during Mahalaya Amavasi, people from Tamil Nadu and neighboring Bangalore traditionally make a pilgrimage to the sacred shrine of Rameswaram to offer Darpanam and Didi to their ancestors.
Anticipating a significant influx of devotees this October 14th, the occasion of Mahalaya Amavasi, additional special bus services will be in operation.
