Special Buses for Mahalaya Amavasi Pilgrims Headed to Rameswaram

Every year, during Mahalaya Amavasi, people from Tamil Nadu and neighboring Bangalore traditionally make a pilgrimage to the sacred shrine of Rameswaram to offer Darpanam and Didi to their ancestors.

Anticipating a significant influx of devotees this October 14th, the occasion of Mahalaya Amavasi, additional special bus services will be in operation. These buses will connect major cities such as Chennai, Salem, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru to Rameswaram on the night of Friday, October 13.
