The Greater Chennai Corporation is developing a mobile app to address monsoon-related issues. Citizens can use the app to report waterlogging and fallen trees, while officials can monitor and respond to these concerns. The app, called Workforce App, will also feature contact information for various municipal agencies. It will allow real-time monitoring of water levels and provide alerts for safety and traffic diversions. Additionally, the Corporation is creating a Citizen Engagement Platform to centralize complaint redressal for various civic issues. The platform will be available year-round and expand the number of helplines. It covers 27 categories of concerns, including waste management, road damage, and stray animals. The ICCC is also collaborating with civic organizations to enhance monsoon preparedness.
