The bomb blast that took place yesterday morning in the state of Kerala has been responsible now for the increased vigilance and patrolling in the districts belonging to Tamil Nadu. Under the protection ring of the police dept, railways, buses and airports have been brought.
It must be taken into account that National Security Forces and NIS have rushed to Kerala now. The bomb blast incident is now being investigated by the Kerala police dept. In this situation, DGP of TN Mr. Shankar Jiwal has stepped up the security and surveillance in the districts in TN now.
Especially, in the border districts in TN such as Coimbatore dist, Theni dist, The Nilgiris dist and Tenkasi dist and Kanyakumari districts etc, security and surveillance has been intensified now. At various checkpoints, the police personnel have been conducting strict audits now.
In the forest areas in these above said districts belonging to TN, police dept as well as forest dept have been involved in intensive surveillance. An order has come out regarding arresting those suspicious persons who come to TN from Kerala or those persons who try to trespass.
Now, under the security ring of the police dept, important places like bus terminuses, airports and railway stations have been brought under. Surprise raids are being conducted now by the police personnel in various hostels and lodges etc in TN. The TN police are now on the lookout for suspicious persons and also searching for the presence of explosive materials etc.
In several other public places like theatres, malls, temples, mosques, churches and parks etc in TN, surveillance has been intensified. In addition to this, the State Intelligence Division Police has been busy gathering information.
