From the year 2005 onwards, the RBI has been issuing Rs 10 coins approved by the government of India. Till now, 14 different types of Rs 10 coins have been issued. Point is that each Rs 10 coin differs from the other in terms of design. It is noteworthy that in one 10 rupee coin symbol Rs would be there and in the others the symbol Rs would not be present. There is rumour spreading now among the public that due to the different types of ten rupee coins, the fake coin would be invalid.
In this scenario, the Ramanathapuram collector has warned that if a 10 rupee coin was not accepted from the public, then the person who doesn`t accept the 1- rupee coin would be jailed for 3 years.
