With the deepavali festival fast approaching, the prices of flowers have gone up drastically now in the Koyambedu market in Chennai. Due to the absence of muhurtham days and auspicious days, the prices of flowers went down just a few days back is known. Hence, in the last few days, the flower traders have been selling the flowers for low prices only. It is really shocking to mention that the lack of business has made the flower traders dump 25tonnes of flowers in the garbage.
Yesterday morning, due to fast approaching deepavali, at the flower market at Koyambedu, the price of the flowers increased drastically. Information is that 1kg of kanakambaram was sold at Rs 800, jasmine at Rs 500, mullai and jathi malli flowers at Rs 300, arali poo at Rs 100, chocolate rose at Rs 60, sambangi at Rs 50 etc, samanthi and paneer rose at Rs 40.
