Huge increase in the flight ticket fares now due to last minute rush!!

The ticket fares in the flights have increased now as many people are going to their hometowns to celebrate deepavali. The footfall has increased in the airport.
It must be noted that the tickets in the buses and trains are not available now and due to this many go to their native places by flights.
One important advantage of travelling by flights is that it saves a lot of time and would give the salaried persons more quality to spend with their families. The airlines have also increased the flight fares due to last minute rush.
The flight ticket from Chennai to Salem would normally cost Rs 2390 but now it costs Rs 11504. In the same way, a flight ticket to Coimbatore that cost Rs 3300 usually now costs Rs 13700. Those going to Trichy through flights would have to shell out Rs 13000 now but in the normal situation the flight fare would be Rs 3190 only.
Inspite of high costs, many now are booking flight tickets as other modes of transport are unavailable. It is worthy to note that by pre-booking flight tickets few weeks back itself the passengers would have saved money. This was mentioned by some airport officials.
