Happy news for the residents of Chennai from MTC

By the first week of December month, MTC or Metropolitan Transport Corporation would be launching the Chennai bus application for iOS platform. It is noteworthy that the Chennai Bus App providing real time information of the MTC buses for the commuters has become very famous among the commuters now. More than 5 lakhs users have downloaded the app on their android mobile phones. Truth is that commuters with iphones were unable to access the application due to the non availability.
A senior official from MTC expressed his thoughts. He spoke about how the app was developed on the Locate and Access My Bus platform or LAMB platform and how it provides real time bus data through the GPS equipment fitted in the MTC fleet of more than 3350 buses. By this, the commuters were able to get information regarding the bus timings at the bus stops and about the routes etc.
It is superb to mention here that the application for iOS has been developed and has completed testing also. It will be launched soon. This was assured by some officials from MTC. Now, the newly appointed MTC chairman& MD Mr. Alby john wants this app to be promoted among the commuters.
