To improve the travel experience of these passengers, the Southern Railways or SR has got plans. The sensational news is that SR has launched a pilot project named `Anuband` and has attempted to provide world class services including food etc to the commuters during the train journeys.
It is worthy to note that as a part of its efforts to bring about a qualitative change in the services during the train travel, SR has announced the launch of a scheme called Yatri Seva Anuband on 6 pairs of VB express trains. The main objective behind this would be to improve the travel experience of the train passengers and to provide better service etc. Now, special attention is being given to the cleanliness of the railways dept.
Information collected is that under this scheme a service provider would be appointed for catering, cleaning etc. For dedicated foods and beverages services to the passengers, a person would be appointed by the SR. The person who would be appointed as manager would be a graduate with 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
In the VB trains running between Chennai and Mysore, Chennai and Nellai, Chennai and Coimbatore etc, this would be implemented as the pilot programme.
