In a heavy downpour on Wednesday evening, Ambattur recorded 54.3 mm, while Kolathur received 62.4 mm of rainfall between 6 pm and 7 pm, marking the highest precipitation during that hour. The intense rainfall led to the inundation of numerous roads across the city.
