Bus terminus at Vandalur is on the go

In spite of several objections from the Vandalur residents, the state government is stubborn in setting up a new mofussil bus stand in the area. During the Thursday review meeting, the Chennai metropolitan development authority officials were instructed by R Vaithilingam – the housing and urban development minister to accelerate the process of land acquisition.
The bus terminus is planned to be inaugurated at Vandalur which is at 25km distance from the southern part of the city. This will reduce the congestion in the city.
