Massive crowds at the fair in Island Grounds in Chennai!!

The 48th India Tourism and Industrial Fair has been going on at the famous island Grounds in Chennai In this fair, there are many entertainment featured like government halls, private shops, clothing accessories, amusement equipment, fish museum, haunted house, birds show, 3D theatre etc are present to attract he crowds or visitors.
In the last 3 days during the Pongal festival, 85664 people visited this fair and this included as many as 69753 adults and 15911 minors etc. On the Maatupongal festival day alone, a total of 45822 people including 36997 adults and 8825 kids visited the fair. It is known that Pongal festival is one of the important festivals for the people belonging to Tamil Nadu.
On the Kaanum Pongal day yesterday, 17th January, thousands of people thronged the fair and this was mentioned by some officials.
