The Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) has exciting news for commuters as it introduces monthly ticket sales starting today. Managing Director Albie John Varghese of the Municipal Transport Corporation (MTC) made the announcement, stating that discounted monthly tickets can now be obtained at the Kilambakkam bus terminus from the 1st to the 13th of each month.
The report in Daily Thanthi highlighted the availability of various travel cards, including a Rs 1,000 travel card for discretionary travel, a monthly travel concession card, a 50% student concession travel card, and a free travel card for senior citizens. These cards are now accessible to the public.
The Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus, inaugurated on December 30, aims to alleviate traffic congestion in Chennai. The grand-scale bus terminus connects various districts, including Tirunelveli, Nagercoil, Thoothukudi, Kanniyakumari, Madurai, Ramanathapuram, Theni, and Dindugul.
