In a move to enhance connectivity to Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus (KCBT) in Kilambakkam, Southern Railway has announced the extension of 10 suburban train services from Tambaram to Guduvanchery. This significant extension is set to take effect from Monday, February 26.
A spokesperson from the Chennai Division of Southern Railway highlighted that five train services from Chennai Beach to Tambaram will now have extended routes. The departure times from Chennai Beach station are scheduled at 7.20 p.m., 8.15 p.m., 8.45 p.m., 8.55 p.m., and 9.40 p.m. In the return direction, trains will commence from Guduvanchery at 8.55 p.m., 9.45 p.m., 10.10 p.m., 10.25 p.m., and 11.20 p.m.
This strategic extension aims to provide commuters with improved access to KCBT, offering a more convenient and efficient travel experience. The extended services are poised to facilitate better connectivity for passengers bound for Kalaignar Centenary Bus Terminus, enhancing overall transportation options in the region.
