City’s oldest lighthouse turns into a public watchtower

The Heritage Conservation Committee (HCC) is about to give is notified regarding the restoration of the British era structure. The restoration is to be taken care of by the Public Works Department (PWD). The PWD is instructed to submit the technical details of this project further to which the HCC will intimate about the restoration. The work may be initiated in another one month.
The project was suggested and proposed at the HCC meeting last week. The PWD is instructed not to make any structural modification in the name of renovation. The renovation process will be monitored by the committee members anyway.
