In a bid to improve passenger convenience and bolster connectivity across key routes in the Southern Railway network, the Railway Board has given the green light to additional stops for four express trains. These strategic adjustments, implemented on a trial basis, aim to streamline travel experiences while catering to the evolving needs of commuters.
Among the notable changes, the Chennai-Egmore-Kollam express train will now include a brief halt at Ulundurpet railway station at 7:52 pm, with its counterpart, the Kollam-Chennai Elumbur express train, making a similar stop at 11:03 pm. Already in effect, these modifications have been met with positive responses from passengers.
Similarly, the Chennai Egmore-Tiruchendur Express and its counterpart will now pause momentarily at Kuthalam Railway Station, offering added convenience to travelers along the route. This adjustment, already implemented successfully, has been well-received by commuters.
Furthermore, commencing April 10th, the Chennai-Egmore-Tiruchendur express train will extend its service to include a one-minute stop at Kuthalam station at 9:21 pm, further enhancing accessibility and connectivity for passengers.
In addition to these changes, the Mayiladuthurai-Shenkottai express train and Villupuram-Dindigul express train will now incorporate halts at Vadamadurai railway station in both directions. This decision, as per a recent press release from Southern Railway, aims to augment accessibility and connectivity for travelers along these routes.
These strategic adjustments underscore Southern Railway`s commitment to providing efficient and passenger-centric transportation solutions, with further decisions contingent upon valuable feedback from commuters.
