The ongoing Public Examinations for the 12th Standard Students (+2) concluded yesterday (Friday, 22nd March).
The last examination was on Biology. Students shared that the question paper was rather difficult.
The results of this 12th Standard Public Examination is scheduled to be released on the 6th of May.
The Public Examinations for the (+2) 12th Standard students commenced on the 1st of March and concluded yesterday (Friday, 22nd March).
4.38 lakh students throughout Tamil Nadu State wrote the 12th Standard Public Examinations.
However, a total of 896y0 candidates including 7951 school students and 1009 private candidates did NOT attend the Public Examinations.
Information was gathered from the students and the teachers that the Biology paper was rather difficult. They shared: "The Biology part of the question paper was easier. However, in the Zoology section, the questions (of marks 1, 2, 3,4 &5) were rather unexpected and certain questions were from the lessons. As such, the number of students scoring 100% in Zoology will be less!"
The activity of correcting the answer sheets is scheduled from the 1st of April until the 13th of April. There are 83 special camps set up for this activity.
The officials of the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu informed that the results of the (+2) 12th Standard Public Examination will be released as scheduled on the 6th of May.
Regarding the last year`s (2023) +2 (12th Standard) Public Examinations, there was an important worrisome issue that up to 50000 students did not write the Public Examinations.
Hall-tickets were issued even for the students who could not attend regular schools due the prevailing coronavirus pandemic. In this regard, the Department of School Education of the State Government of Tamil Nadu the number of high absentees was due to the corona virus and other reasons. It assured that this will be set right in the coming years with proper actions taken to ensure better attendance.
In this scenario, a total of 794075 candidates including 772200 students and 21875 private candidates applied for attending the 12th Standard Public Examinations this year. After the start of the Public Examinations, it is informed that around 13000 candidates did not attend the Public Examinations. This is less as compared to last year`s absentees.
