The Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) has announced the counselling procedures for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA-2024). Registration, which took place from May 6 to June 11, saw completion by approximately 1.94 lakh students who uploaded necessary documents, as reported by a senior DOTE official.
Students who completed registration received randomly assigned numbers. Certificate verification, conducted both online and physically, continues until June 30. The merit list is scheduled for release on July 10. Due to delayed academic schedules from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), counselling dates have not yet been set.
Counselling will occur online across three rounds, with candidates participating based on their ranks. Each round includes stages like choice filling, allotment, confirmation, reporting to college, and fee payment upon confirmation. Seat allocation will prioritize choice preferences, rank, community, and seat availability.
Candidates must confirm allotted seats within 2 days. Failure to confirm forfeits the seat, moving the candidate to the next round. Unsatisfied candidates need not participate further after declining an allocated seat, as per DOTE guidelines.
