The Tamil Nadu government, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has announced a major employment initiative aimed at creating over 75,000 new jobs by January 2026. This initiative, discussed under Rule 110 in the State Assembly, involves the recruitment of 46,535 individuals through four key agencies: the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC), Teachers Recruitment Board, Medical Recruitment Board, and Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB).
In addition to these positions, around 30,000 more jobs will be created through local bodies and public sector undertakings. Chief Minister Stalin highlighted that this comprehensive employment drive is part of a broader effort to promote youth welfare in the state. Furthermore, he mentioned that over the past three years, more than 5.08 lakh jobs have been generated for Tamil Nadu`s youth in both government and private sectors through various recruitment drives.
