Anna University has launched a new course titled "Yoga for Human Excellence" this year, focusing on enhancing physical, mental, social, and spiritual well-being through Yoga. The university has partnered with WCSC Vethathiri Maharishi College of Yoga to conduct this course.
According to a notification from the university, the course spans four months and is designed to cover modules such as physical health, life force strengthening, and mental wellness. It will be delivered in English and Tamil, targeting candidates who have completed class 12 or its equivalent from a recognized board.
The course structure includes 45 hours of online learning and 55 hours of blended web-based instruction, utilizing a modular format through virtual education. Participants will have opportunities for self-study and face-to-face practical training sessions.
Reference materials are available on the official website, and assessment comprises a model test and two internal assessments. Evaluation criteria include a case study/quiz worth 40 marks and multiple-choice questions/short answers worth 60 marks. Successful completion requires a minimum of 50% total marks, with certificates awarded to participants who meet this criterion.
