The Engineering Counseling Rank List has been released by Veeraragavarao, Commissioner of Directorate of Technical Education. Counseling will commence on July 22 for admission to first-year B.E. / B.Tech. courses in over 450 engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University.
This year, applications were accepted online in June, with 2.29 lakh applicants and 1.87 lakh paying the fee. Additionally, 1.55 lakh candidates uploaded their certificates. The rank list, based on plus 2 marks, determines the cutoff for admissions.
The rank list is now available at https://www.tneaonline.org/. Commissioner Veeraragavarao mentioned in a press conference that over 36,500 applicants from government schools (grades 6-12) have applied.
Counseling will run from July 22 to September 11, starting with sessions on July 22-23 for differently abled persons and athletes, and July 29 for general category students. Supplementary counseling is scheduled for September 6-8.
The top-ranked students include Toshita Lakshmi from Chengalpattu (perfect score of 200), Nilanjana from Tirunelveli (2nd place), and Gokul from Namakkal (3rd place). Under the 7.5% quota, Ravani from Salem secured the first rank with a cutoff of 199.50.
