The Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling for engineering aspirants will start on July 22 and run until September 11. Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy will inaugurate the 7.5% special reservation counselling for persons with disabilities, eminent sportspersons, and wards of ex-servicemen on July 22 at 10 a.m. at the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Guindy.
Following the merit list release on July 10, approximately 1.99 lakh candidates are expected to participate in the counselling. More details can be found at tneaonline.org.
The 7.5% reservation counselling for students from government schools (classes 6-12) under special categories will begin today. There are 664 seats for the disabled category and 38 for sports, with 111 and 282 eligible candidates respectively. The wards of ex-servicemen category has 11 eligible candidates.
General online counselling for academic, government school 7.5% reservation, and vocational categories will be held from July 29 to September 3. Supplementary counselling will take place from September 6 to 8. The final counselling for Special Central Assistance (SCA) to Scheduled Castes (SC) is scheduled for September 10 and 11.
