Southern Railway has announced the cancellation of the Antyodaya Express train between Tambaram and Nagercoil for 10 days due to track development work.
From July 23 to July 31, the Antyodaya Express from Tambaram to Nagercoil, departing nightly at 11 pm, will be cancelled. Similarly, the Nagercoil to Tambaram service is cancelled from July 22 until the end of the month.
During this period, the train departing Tambaram at 7.30 pm will leave from Chennai Egmore at 7 pm on July 24, 28, 29, and 31. Conversely, the Nagercoil to Tambaram train, usually leaving at 4.30 pm, will arrive at Chennai Egmore instead of Tambaram on July 22, 23, 25, 29, and 30.
Additionally, due to engineering and signal improvement works at Tambaram, other trains to Chennai will be partially cancelled or delayed. The Sengottai-Tambaram Express (Train No. 20684) will be short-terminated at Villupuram on July 22, 24, 26, 27, 29, and 31. The Tambaram-Sengottai Express (Train No. 20683) will depart from Villupuram at 11:15 pm on July 24, 25, 28, and 30, instead of Tambaram.
