Southern Railway has announced changes to the cancellation pattern for 55 EMU services due to ongoing works at the Tambaram yard on July 27 and 28.
Night electric trains on the Chennai Beach-Tambaram-Chengalpattu route have been canceled until yesterday. For Saturday and Sunday, morning and night electric train services will remain canceled as previously notified.
Most trains between 9 am and 1 pm are canceled, but special electric trains will operate at 20-minute intervals during the day and night. The last special train from Chennai Beach to Pallavaram will depart at 11:59 pm, and from Pallavaram to Chennai Beach at 12:45 am. The last train from Guduvancherry to Chengalpattu will depart at 11:55 pm, and from Chengalpattu to Guduvancherry at 11 pm.
Regular daytime services will resume from July 29 to August 2. However, from August 3 to 14, services on the Chennai Beach-Tambaram-Chengalpattu route will be canceled during the day and night as previously announced.
