Due to maintenance work at Tambaram Railway Station from August 3 to 14, the Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) will run 70 additional buses to assist passengers.
MTC`s managing director announced that EMU train services from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm and 10 pm to 11:59 pm from Chennai Beach to Tambaram/Chengalpattu will be limited to Pallavaram. Trains from Chengalpattu to Beach will terminate at Guduvancherry during this period.
To accommodate passengers affected by these changes, MTC will operate 30 buses from Pallavaram to Chengalpattu, 20 from Pallavaram to Guduvancherry, and 20 from Tambaram to T. Nagar and Broadway, in addition to the regular services.
At the traffic police`s request, MTC buses on the Guduvancherry route will stop at Hindu Mission Hospital to avoid congestion at Tambaram until August 14.
