DoTE Warns Engineering Colleges Against Charging Fees from Government School Quota Students!

The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) issued a stern warning to engineering colleges on Saturday, instructing them not to charge fees from students admitted under the 7.5% government school quota. This warning follows multiple complaints from students and parents about some colleges demanding fees despite the government`s commitment to cover all expenses, including course, hostel, and transport fees.
DoTE commissioner reiterated that government funds should cover these costs, and colleges were explicitly directed not to collect any money from these students. Any colleges found violating this directive will face strict action.
