Nilgiri Mountain Railway Services to Remain Suspended Until Month-End!

The Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) services between Mettupalayam and Ooty will remain suspended until August 31st.
The suspension, which was initially set from August 9th to August 25th, was due to continuous rainfall in the Nilgiri district and essential maintenance on the tracks. The situation has been further complicated by the threat of small landslides on the mountain railway track.
In addition, maintenance work is being carried out on the railway bridges. As a result, the Salem Railway divisional administration has extended the cancellation of services until the end of August.
