The ICT Academy in Tamil Nadu is launching several corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects for the 2024-25 academic year in collaboration with major industry partners. These initiatives aim to enhance skills and employability for students and educators.
Key projects include:
1. CPCL Partnership:
Training 10,000 youths from Nagapattinam and surrounding areas in employability skills related to the petroleum industry.
2. REC Initiative:
Counseling 15,000 high school students on career opportunities.
3. TagIT Collaboration:
Providing advanced tech training to 200 underprivileged final-year undergraduate students in technical institutions.
4. Capgemini Program:
Offering IT, banking, financial services, KPO, and BPO training to 7,500 graduate students over three years.
5. Honeywell Hometown Solutions India Foundation:
Establishing Centres of Excellence for Women and Youth Empowerment, training 5,950 students in cybersecurity, advanced IT, and sustainability.
6. Infosys Foundation Support:
Delivering IT and non-IT employability skills training to 48,000 underprivileged students from higher education institutions.
Additionally, 11,800 faculty members from various state institutions will receive training in electronics system design and emerging technologies.
