22nd Chennai International Film Festival to Begin on December 12
The 22nd edition of the Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF) is set to take place in Chennai from December 12 to December 19, 2024. Organized by the Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF), the festival promises an eclectic mix of films from Tamil Nadu, other Indian states, and across the globe.
Festival Director A.V.M.K. Shanmugam announced that 12 Tamil films and 12 to 15 films in various Indian languages will be showcased. Additionally, the festival will feature 10 films in the World Cinema Competition category, along with critically acclaimed entries from renowned international festivals such as Cannes, Paris, and Venice in the non-competition section.
For film enthusiasts, the entry fee is set at Rs. 500 for students, Rs. 300 for cinema technicians, and Rs. 1,000 for general admission.
The Chennai International Film Festival has grown to become a significant platform for celebrating cinematic excellence and cultural exchange, attracting filmmakers and audiences from around the world.
