Private Mini Buses to Operate in Chennai from February

The Tamil Nadu government has approved the operation of private mini buses in select areas of Chennai, including Sholinganallur, Ambattur, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, and Manali, starting February. This move aims to meet the rising demand for public transportation, particularly in areas where large buses cannot access.
The Transport Department, after consultations with various associations and approval from the Chief Minister, has granted permission for private mini buses to complement existing government services. This initiative is expected to provide better transport options, especially in the suburbs, enhancing connectivity for residents.
