TN to receive less rain as cyclone Phailin moves towards Andhra Pradesh, Orissa

Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services has issued a fresh high wind-wave alert for various status in connection with Cyclone Phailin.
High wind waves in the range of 2.5 - 4 meters are predicted up to 17:30 hrs on 12-10-2013 along the Kolachal to Kilakarai of southern Tamil Nadu.
Phailin currently lies 870 km east southeast of Visakhapatnam and is expected to move northwards and cross north Andhra Pradesh and Orissa coast between Kalingapatnam and Paradeep close to Gopalpur by Saturday evening.
“We might experience dry weather once the cyclone enters land,” said a Met official, who added that North TN might get some rainfall for the next two days.
