Chennai will have rains this week

Usually the northeast monsoon begins with heavy rainfall on the first few days, is expected to be subdued over the week. Chennai and the state will receive only intermittent showers as the low pressure zone is moving towards the North West.
“The monsoon is expected to be subdued over the next three days with the change in the system,” said Y E A Raj, deputy director-general of the India Meteorological Department. “The chances of the system developing into a cyclone are very limited,” he said
